I'd like to know what the hell is wrong with the matchmaker? For the last two days I've been grouped up with teams that end up getting dead in about 3-4 minutes. I know that it is going to happen, but all the time? No wonder why I'm always seeing new players. People get tired of this, and go off to greener pastures elsewhere. I really worry about this game. The TTK is too low and it's chasing off new players. It's one thing to learn how to play with the steep learning curve, but the matchmaker sure isn't doing PGI any favors. Perhaps instead of making a 4 on 4 for CW, how about a 8 on 8 easy mode for all the people that live in Puglanda? Then you could do your 4 on 4 for the competitive guys. What do you guys think?

Something I do when I play in "puglanda" is to closely team up with 1 or more players I believe can make up for my mech's shortcomings (obviously helping other people when I see they're in need of aid)
For instance when I play my Commando I tend to find an assault and watch his/her back, I suppress enemies so he/she can get into a good position and I can can fall back to him/her if heavier mechs push my position. I can also deal with lights harassing him/her and in turn and I can use them as a safe pit stop to cool down before another offensive (Also Biggin's appreciate it when you bring back bite sized snacks for them to munch on)
Atlas + Commando tag team can do amazing things when tactics make up for each other's weaknesses

Ps: Even if you say a simple plan at the start of a pug match, that alone can really help and give everyone a generalized direction on how and what to do

Your account is from 2013... and you are just now having a problem with the MM?

I stopped looking at the win/loss in PUGs. I cannot control that. My blood pressure has stabilized thanks to that.

I have yet to reach that level of enlightenment, remeber that project where I was to get a K/D of 1.0 on each individual mech? Almost there, only a couple of hundred matches to go then I can relax

Matchmaker requires a healthy player pool to function well. I think you can work out why it might not be working well 100% of the time.

I'm not sure it's working 1% of the time from my recent experience. I'm being serious too! Look at the Tags by player's names at the start. The team with most tags wins about 90% of the time easy..

LOL I don't worry about that either. I used to. Back when my K/Dr was 1.23. Now its at 0.57. But I have more fun. Although my Atlas-S has a 0.97...

Whenever there is an event going on, the player skill level drops due to noobs booting up MWO for them prizes. Easy to understand, yes?

Ya I guess, but the quality of the matches have just gone to poo. Can't get people to even group up, they act like a 5 year old, "Can't make me" and other 4 letter phrases...Just getting very tired of this. Instead of having fun, I feel like I'm running a daycare! I wonder if going back to 8v8 would help a little. I'm not playing CW because I'm not doing the competitive seen, plus will all the nerve damage I have I'd just get rolled anyway...
